Michael Klein, CAPP is Executive Director of the Albany Parking Authority, with 29 years service. He has served University, Municipal, Hospital, and Consulting industry segments and is experienced with Parking Access Revenue Control systems for on and off-street garages and lots, permit systems, visitor lots, meters, valet, special event parking, enforcement, adjudication, and collections. Mike has administered transportation, motor pools, fleet maintenance, and grounds (snow!) functions. Responsibilities have included route service, demand responsive “Point 2 Point” service, charters, plus ancillary modes such as pedestrian, bicycle, intermodal connections with car/bus/bike/rail, and carpooling.

Beyond focusing on strategic planning, new initiatives, automation, ebusiness, marketing and budgeting, Mike provides leadership and creates a culture that is motivating and supportive of staff to efficiently and effectively fulfill the institutional mission while providing a positive work environment.

Mike contributes articles in trade magazines and books, presents for parking and transportation conferences, participates in C-PARK, webinars, and other industry forums.
