LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

 

In tradition with past years, NYSPA will have it’s annual election for the Board of Directors at this years’ Annual Fall Conference.

 

There are six (6) positions that will be expiring at the end of this calendar year that include:

 

(3)     Three Regular Members;

(2)     Two (2) Affiliate Members; and

(1)     One (1) Professional Member

 

Typically, a term consists of (2) two calendar years. This year, however, there will be an exception to this rule. One (1) of the Affiliate Members’ positions will be for a (1) year term in order to reverse the cycle so that both of the positions within this category will not expire in same year.

 

Typical responsibilities for Board Members include attendance at Board Meetings approximately every 2-3 months at various parts of the state, assistance in Conference Planning, active participation on various committees, and special committee meetings that may be required from time to time.

 

In order to run for a Board Position and be listed on the ballot, one must be a member in good standing with their annual dues being current or paid in full at the time of the election/conference.
