NEW YORK STATE PARKING ASSOCIATION
Dear Friends and Colleagues:
The Board of Directors met in Syracuse, NY Friday March 6th, and put together two events that are sure to be shining examples of the excellent value received with modest fees for membership dues and conference and training registrations.
Our vibrant organization serves many parking professionals through its core values of technical/industry education, supporting member needs, and creating networking opportunities. And anyone that has participated in our conference and trade show would tell you that the bonding, trust, and long term relationships that have developed over the course of 17 years is second to none.
In a time when budgets are tight and travel may be restricted, you can get national-type conferencing right in your own back yard. For the price of a tank of gas and little more than the cost of lunch, a short trip this summer is well worth taking.
NYSPA has booked its second annual summer training session, scheduled for June 16th, 2009 at the Hinderwadel’s Grove in Syracuse, NY. Last year’s inaugural event was a rousing success with over 100 participants enjoying a day of instructional, networking and team building activities. For only $25 the training and networking is the best investment you could make in your people, and this includes lunch! Please visit the NYSPA website at www.nyspa.net for more information and to register on line.
While you are on the website, you should also consider registering for the 17th annual conference, October 7 – 9, 2009 at The Holiday Inn Grand Island Resort and Conference Center near Niagara Falls in Buffalo, NY. In addition to nationally recognized speakers addressing hot topics such as Technology, Customer Service, and Revenue Control there will be concurrent sessions focused on training. Also, Shawn Conrad the new Executive Director of the IPI, will address attendees regarding the state of the parking industry, and will also provide a glimpse of what to expect in the future.
On a related note, if you are an interesting and knowledgeable presenter, the Board would be interested in considering you vis-à-vis this “call for presentations”. We are also inviting founders, current and new members to sit on committees to help the Board shape the future of the association.
Please contact us using our new email address, NYSPA@NYSPA.net. You don’t have to be a member to enjoy some of the benefits, but to get the best value we’d love you to become a member and be an engaged participant!
Yours in parking, the NYSPA Board of Directors.
